Welcome to PluginID.com. Instead of following the norm in the personality development tips space and telling you how to do this or how to do that, PluginID.com is different. We see this site as a way to take readers through a journey. This is a journey of success, failures, struggles and everything else that comes up on the path of being who you want to be and living the life you want to life – the message of this site.

Back in 2008, Glen Allsopp started the website to document his personal growth. In the year and a half the he owned and ran PluginID, he went from working in the rat race to building a successful online business and working for himself while travelling the world.

Towards the end of 2009, Glen decided that a new journey and a new mission would help take the site to the next level and provide readers with the same level of value they had been used to. Bud Hennekes seemed like the perfect person to pass the baton onto and continue to share with readers the journey of getting from where you are now to where you want to be.

Hey! I’m Bud Hennekes, the main writer of PluginID as of February 1st 2010. I took over the blog when Glen Allsopp began working on his Internet Marketing blog ViperChill full time.

Before becoming the main writer of PluginID I ran my own personal development blog A Boundless World, which is currently on hold as I pursue other projects.

At 18 years old I know I have a lot to learn and I hope to share my experiences along the way. I began my self improvement journey after witnessing my best friend pass away and have since significantly changed the way in which I view the world. As with Glen I don’t claim to have all the answers and I look forward to learning from each other. I’m an aspiring entrepreneur, professional speaker, and author and hope to be location independent within the next few years.

Some interesting facts about me:

• I’m adopted
• I’ve lived in Holland, Texas, Louisiana, Shanghai, and Missouri
• I’ve been to tens of countries all over the world
• I ran cross-country and track in high school
• I’m not afraid to fail.
• I’m a freshman at Mizzou.
• I’m the oldest of three.
• I love my family very much.

Although Glen is no longer the main writer of the site, the core message of this blog remains the same:

PluginID, named after the slogan ‘Plug into Your Identity’, is a site about helping you realize who you are, and perhaps more importantly, who you are not. The purpose of  this site is to awaken,inspire and motivate others into seeing that they can be who they want to be and live the life they want to live.

My hobbies depending on the day, but more often than not the following can captivate my interest for quite some time: Meditating, deep conversation, writing, reading, self improvement, walking, naps, people, exercising, breathing, browsing the net, playing pool, the St. Louis Cardinals, documentaries, comedies, stretching, laughing, poetry, entrepreneurship, and deep thinking.

Glen Allsopp

Hey, I’m Glen Allsopp and the main writer behind PluginID. In 2007 I was in a job I hated, doing college courses I had no interest in and running a company part-time. I was also quite shy and knew that I had to make a radical change in my life. That change came when, at 18 years old, I left my family, friends and education behind and moved across the world to South Africa. I didn’t know one single person in the country, so as you can imagine, I’ve learned a lot in the process. After 16 months in South Africa I’m now back in the UK, where I’m about to live somewhere else in Europe and do the whole thing again.

I don’t claim to have all the answers, nor do I trust anyone that does, but I am going to share what has helped me grow and what I think will help others out there. I went from going out a few nights a month to partying 5 nights a week, having lots of friends and increasing my confidence along the way. It is my own transformation that allows me to believe that ANYBODY can do the same.

Together we can create a better world where people are free to express the real them and life a live they love, have created, and one that is full of happiness.
