Flowering of the Human Consciousness - Eckhart Tolle (Review)

I’m a person that either likes to read or watch, I’m not a fan of audio content; so when I found out that a 3.5 hour movie featuring Eckhart Tolle was going to be playing close by, I jumped at the chance. For those of you who don’t know, Eckhart is a very popular author and has written two best-sellers - The Power of Now & A New Earth.

After reading the reviews of this on Amazon (all of which have 5 stars), I can’t say it better than this guy:

After finding his book ‘The Power of Now’ such an amazing read, I was very interested in seeing and hearing Eckhart Tolle teaching. I could not have been more impressed - this is even more powerful than the book that I loved.

I have to agree that the feeling of hearing and seeing Eckhart speak was much more inspirational to me than reading the books. The whole thing lasts for 210 minutes, I noticed myself disconnecting at points and thinking more about what Eckhart had said but as soon as you ‘re-connect’ you pick up his points quite easily.

He also answers some questions I had, when I first read The Power of Now I was confused whether it was wrong to have goals or desires but that was quickly covered. Most of all I was pleased to see someone who has improved my life vastly on the big-screen and giving another informative speech, which was surprisingly humorous at times.

If you enjoyed the books I definitely recommend this, if not you probably won’t enjoy it. You can purchase the DVD here or Audio CD here at Amazon.
