Into the Wild – DVD (Review)

I’ve watched hundreds of DVD’s but this is the first one I’ve ever thought would be useful to our readers and become a great source of value. Starring Emile Hirsch, ‘Into the Wild‘ is based on a true story of a man who gives up his money, leaves his car, tears up his identity cards and changes his name to ‘Alexander Supertramp’.

This is possibly one of the most moving and hard hitting DVD’s that I’ve seen in a long time, it definitely hit my core with a few statements in the film which I’ll share with you below.

With over 120 5-star ratings on Amazon, there’s no doubt that Into the Wild has lived up to the hype. You follow a young Christopher McCandless from college graduation and the offer of a free car from his parents to living in a bus with no possessions and killing wild moose.

Some of the quotes I like from the film included:

Happiness is only real when shared

I realised how important it is in life, not to be strong, but to feel strong

I’ve embedded the trailer below to help you work out if this movie is for you…

I personally felt very moved by this, partly because I’ve had some of the same feelings that are mentioned in the DVD. Living without possessions and money must be a crazy adventure, but one that you can definitely connect with in the film.

If you are interested, you can purchase the DVD over here at Amazon.

I mentioned at the start this was based on a real person, so I dedicated this post in loving memory of Christopher McCandless
