How can subsequent remorse help them when the burden of culpability is squarely acknowledged by them, and for which there is no forgiveness from any quarter? Can someone hold out even just a candle of hope to either the perpetrator and/or the victim in these situations. Loving yourself seems impossible in these circumstances.
