The Simple Guide To Leading: And Why It Applies To You

You’re a leader. You may have yet to accept that fact but the reality remains unchanged. How can I say that honestly without even knowing you? Because everyone leads. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you’re from, you lead in some fashion everyday.

Obviously the quality of leading differs from person to person. Some lead poorly, resorting to violence and intimidation, and others embrace the good of humanity to create a positive path of growth.

I sincerely believe that anyone can learn to become a great leader. Though it won’t come easy. Quality leadership takes time, requires, patience, determination, and passion. I’ve  written a simple guide that I hope will help start you on becoming the leader you want to be.

Learning To Love Yourself

Over the last few months I’ve spent a fair amount of time reflecting on the various relationships that have shaped who I am today. I’m immensely grateful for every single one, because I’d be walking an entirely different path were it not for them.

In reflecting on my most intimate relationships, that is my closest family and friends, I’ve been reminded how important our relationships are in our everyday life. And though our social interactions affect our lives tremendously, we often neglect arguably the most important relationship of all: The one with ourselves.

Chances are if you’re reading this, you’re more well off than the majority of the other 6 billion people out there. Just for that you should smile. Today I’d like to take a moment to bring your attention to 7 luxuries you may you forget you have. Nothing sensational in terms of creativity but my hope is it will force you to reflect.

Why It’s OK To Be Scared

Fear is an interesting emotion one I have yet to, nor ever will, completely comprehend. What I do know is that many of us spend the majority of our lives not only living in fear, but allowing it to dictate the terms of what we call life.

While fear certainly has the potential to hold you back, being scared isn’t always as bad as it may seem. In fact, I believe that being scared is an important component of growth and essential in expressing your gifts to the world.
