It has been one month and 9 days since I started this website, they say that time goes quickly when you are having fun, and this month has definitely gone quickly. When I posted my first update I said I would do a couple then space them out a little more so this might be my last for a few months.
I always find it interesting seeing the traffic stats and motivations of other bloggers so I’m sharing everything here in the hope that you find it interesting as well, if not, feel free to skip this post.

One of my main goals besides helping others is actually creating a profitable business with PluginID. This will allow me to do more to help the world and even spend more time actually writing / creating content. I plan for it to take at least a year until I’m making enough money to get by on the earnings alone so I have no negative feelings regarding the $6 made in August ;).
More than anything (including traffic levels) I’ve been focusing on increasing feed subscribers and building a real community around the site. So far, there are 162 subscribers which I’m very happy with and hope to grow substantially over the coming months.
Special thanks to Jarkko, Mark and Jeff for helping send traffic to the site from their awesome blogs, I highly recommend you go and check them out.

I think the current posting schedule is working out well, and I’ve actually noticed a lot of other bloggers in this niche are starting to cut back to 2 / 3 posts per week. I see the main reason for this is to spend more time on creating better content rather than shorter, less-informative posts. Another reason is that everybody wants to be the ‘go-to’ resource so don’t want readers being put-off with too many posts.
Personally, I just do what feels best and what I think readers will enjoy. Thank you all for visiting the site in August and I hope you enjoy what we had to offer. Theres a big surprise in store in a couple of days that I’ve been working hard on so be on the lookout for that.

It’s my first visit here today and your stats sure looks amazing for a one month blog. I don’t remembering garnering that many visitors in the first month of mine. Do keep up your good work!
Thanks Evelyn, I’ve actually been in Internet Marketing for 3 years so I have had quite a foundation and some knowledge to use to my advantage.

Thanks a lot Peter, I’m sure you’ll get to the same figures if you aren’t there already
That’s a phenomenal first month. I thought my first month was really awesome until like two minutes ago. Great job.
Thanks, I’ve had years of experience in launching new websites to be fair though
I’m sure yours was great as well!
Well done Glen, that’s amazing growth for such a short time but you have put out very high quality posts so I’m not surprised

Thanks for the mention
The site looks fabulous, Glen…Glad I subscribed and I’m looking forward to the future posts
Can I ask how you doing so great in such a short amount of time? I just started a blog with a friend of mine, and our blog is a little older than yours, but we are no where close to the amount of traffic, subscribers or anything.
Got any tips on how we can improve?
First of all don’t leave blog comments with a spammy title, they probably wont be approved.
I recommend to network in your niche, share your real name and start leaving comments around the web. Give back to others, that means:
- Stumbling their stuff
- Sending them links
- Tweet their content
Generally help people out, and offer useful, valuable content that people want to share for you.
To your first point:
With the material on the blog, and the fact that I would like to keep my job until I have the means to quit, I came up with a pseudo name. I do not want to use my real name as I don’t want my current company (or future companies) to Google me and see Quitting The Day Job. I don’t want to give them that good of a reason to fire or not hire me.
But thanks for the tips, I will get work on them ASAP.
