The site is now 2 months and 9 days old, it’s quite amazing how quickly time has gone past. I know most people come here for the interesting content and not to see how much traffic is received but this business is both my journey and yours so I like to keep updating this. However, on that note I want to make it clear that this will be the last traffic stats update for quite a while.
I’m very happy with the growth of the site overall as you will see below and thank all of our wonderful readers for stopping by!

It has been another great month for the site, increasing visitors by around 4 thousand and 7,000 extra pageviews. Once again the main referring site is StumbleUpon, it doesn’t bother me that a lot of traffic is coming from one source as there are over 790 keywords driving traffic and 287 referring sites.
As of today there are 288 feed subscribers, this is compared to 162 last month. I’ve been considering when to put the feedburner chicklet up on the site and I’m going to do that once I hit 1,000 subscribers. Judging by the current rate of growth that should be somewhere near the start of next year.
Just a quick note that my brother is arriving in Cape Town on Sunday (yesterday when you read this) so posting is going to be very light over the next 2 weeks but I’ll still put my passion and effort into posts that do go out. Special thanks this month go to Spiritual Blog, Hunter Nuttall, Stanley Bronstein and a new site from one of my best friends…Upgrade Reality.

I’ve found my workload to have rapidly increased this month so at times writing posts has seemed more of a chore than something I enjoy. Not that I’ve lost my passion, it’s just that when you work 9-5, come home and do some freelance work and then starting on your blog, I’m often burned out. Hopefully my two weeks off (no work) are going to help refresh my and get me back to my preferred state.
I’m very happy with the growth so far, it may surprise you if I say that October is already on track to be the best month by far, but this is going to be the last traffic update for a while. The main reasons are that I don’t want to give all my sources and keywords away, but I also want to keep the focus of this blog on the actual content side of things rather than results.
Congrats Glen … looking forward to more great posts, and I hope you have a great vacation with your brother!
Very impressive!
Enjoy your well earned break
Glen, this is amazing growth you’re seeing. Don’t feel bad about being burned out; you do so much that it would be strange if you didn’t get burned out at times. Enjoy your time off!
Glen – Your site is growing very nicely! It is great to see things going so well for you. I enjoy keeping an eye on your growth.
Enjoy your break! A vacation is often just the medicine needed to revive ourselves.
Congratulations on your growth. You will feel recharged after your vacation, and ready with lots more posts. Enjoy!
Hi Glen
Thanks as always for sharing your great info and stats as it acts as a big encouragement to explore blogging further – and great that you’re doing so well.
I’m missing Cape Town big time at the moment as I’m usually out there around now, and the autumn (=rain and cold!?) is setting in back here in the UK, while Spring is hitting out there! Have a great time with your bro – I’m very envious!
All the best
The weather has really picked up, nice and hot lately
Hi,
Its nice to read about your progress with the blog.
I can also relate to working full-time and trying to come with a post for the blog. I am sure the break will do good.
All the best…
Shamelle
Glen-
Teach me. I beg you.
It just takes one email Peter
Thanks for sharing your stats. I never thought about writing a post about my stats. Now you have me thinking.
Also, can you explain how your automatic list gets updated? Some of my scores seem outdated.
Thanks and Congrats on your success. You deserve it!
Thanks for the special thanks Glen. You’re awesome. I think it’s great how sites like Stumble make it easier for bloggers to get their ideas and thoughts out there.
Well done mate. It is always nice when hard work pays off. That is a lot of feed subscribers to! I read elsewhere that a blogger should put up the feedburner chicklet up once subscribers reach 100. You’re way past that.
All the best,
Stephen
This has been another great month for you Glen – that’s awesome! It’s a testament to the quality articles you’re putting up – keep at it!
Hi Glen,
These are impressive stats, but to be honest they hardly surprise me. From the moment I visited your blog I could tell it was destined for success. Keep up the good work.
Peter
Way to go Glen! I think it’s a sign that you are doing great work that people love reading. Enjoy your time off, we all need it sometimes.
Thank you all for the awesome comments. I had a great holiday with my brother, we had some crappy things happen like get mugged at knifepoint but apart from that it was a great time
Thanks again all
