Screw It, Let’s Do It - Richard Branson (Review)
When I seen this small book published by quick reads on the bookshelf of my local store I just had to take a further look. Partly because I enjoyed Sir Richards’ autobiography and it came at a moment in my life when I was looking for positive lessons in life to help drive me forward.
I found it very comforting to see all the problems and issues that Richard was able to get past (some were huge) and still be the success he is today with Virgin and the many brances of the business.

Although the book is fairly short (just over 100 pages) it does have a small price tag to match and is absolutely packed with value, you certainly aren’t left feeling that the book was rushed. In fact I was amazed at how much quality information I was able to take from this whilst being experienced to the personal life that Richard had during the creation of Virgin and its various properties.
There are core messages in the book which are:
- Just Do It!
- Have Fun!
- Be Bold
- Challenge Yourself
- Stand On Your Own Feet
- Live the Moment
- Value Family and Friends
- Have Respect
- Do Some Good
What I really like is that for each one of these chapters, Richard is able to relate them to a personal experience and one that will usually make you think…”wow”. Through the struggles Richard has faced you really can believe that anything is possible when you set your mind to it.
If you are one of those people that doubt everything then this book isn’t for you, but if you are willing to open your mind to your achieving your dreams then I really think this book
will help you do just that.
