Hey guys, I hope you’re all having a fantastic Sunday / Monday. Just a quick post from me today which is mostly a request. I would appreciate for anyone who has two minutes spare to take some time out and answer this three question survey.
I had the idea of doing a reader survey thanks to this post by Chris Guillebeau, and thought that it would be a great idea to see what you all really think of the site. I’ve never done anything like this before, so I’m very interested to see what insights and ideas the feedback gives me.

Two things I want to make clear are:
- It is completely anonymous. I may do a post about the results in the future, but will not include anyone’s details (I don’t have them anyway)
- Your email is optional. I have included an email address option in there for those who wouldn’t mind me thanking them personally or asking them specific questions about their feedback. It is not a requirement, however.
The three questions are simply:
- In one or two sentences, why do you read PluginID?
- What topics would you like to see me write about more?
- What do you think is the main thing I can help people with?
If I write a post about my reasons for doing a survey (which I probably will) then I will give more information on why I chose so few questions, and why I asked the ones I did.
If you don’t want to take part that is absolutely fine. I still love you!
If you enjoyed this post, I would appreciate if you share it on Twitter, Facebook or Delicious!

Yo Glen
Cool idea man, I hope you get lots of positive feedback.
I filled in your questionaire for ya:)
Have an awesome week!
Thanks man, over 20 responses so far which is nice for 2 hours on a Sunday
Not expecting many comments on this post, but appreciate everyone filling it out!
I just want to personally thank you all here for taking the time out to give me your thoughts. I will be getting in touch with many in private as a personal thank you as well. I believe PluginID has the most amazing community on the internet
Some of the feedback so far has totally surprised me, but given me absolutely tons of ideas for where I can improve, so thank you for that!
I just filled it out too, hope it helps. ~Debbie
Thanks Debbie, you’re awesome!
Took the survey!
I hope it’s helpful, though I’m not quite how your site could be better… It’s already pretty awesome!
So cute Dani!
Way to go, Glen. I hope you get a lot of good data.
Also, I love the cupcake banner!

Thanks buddy!
As with your case, I have a lot of feedback that is contradictory (some people want to see more about ‘X’ while others think I write about ‘X’ too much) so that’s interesting.
Definitely glad I did this though
It’s a cool idea to ask your readers/customers directly for feedback. I haven’t had a survey on my blog so far. I think I’ll wait until it hits the one year anniversary mark.
Keep on blogging!
Hey Gordie,
I definitely recommend doing it once you have a decent readerbase. The feedback so far has been invaluable.
Asking for feedback is a wonderful way to expand your awareness. It also takes some balls as well. It will be interesting to see the direction you move after all the feedback is in. Stay real. I love you man.
Thanks Bud,
Appreciate you taking part.
I love you too
Great idea Glen,
I love your blog, and this survey is a great idea, it’s a great way to grow and see things from other perspectives and I know you will get some awesome feedback.
Just completed.
Jen
Thanks Jen, much appreciated!
Hey Glen,
I’m filling out the survey. Hope the results will help you
All the best,
Zoli.
Hey Glen,
Filled up the survey and I’m excited to see how PluginID evolve into the next stage.
Cheers,
Vincent
Guess your improving on the customer service …lol
Nice ideas, i guess this will allow you to improve you site even better!
Took me a bit, but finally finished your survey. No, thats not a bad thing. Hope it helps. Because there’s such variety, yet still you stay focused, I’m curious as to what you will come up with next. Your survey gave me a couple of “lightbulb moments” too. Thanks again!
Completed the survey. Frankly – the blog is great as it is and I have to catch up on the old posts. But better is better
The NLP article was awesome. I am just looking around now.
